Important information before you start

Market Harborough & The Bowdens Charity welcomes applications from all students who live in Market Harborough, Little Bowden or Great Bowden.

The grants are predominately aimed at undergraduates. We consider family income and student maintenance loans when deciding awards and particularly wish to support those who are the first in their families to go into higher education or are from low-income households.

We will only support postgraduates in exceptional circumstances, but we will support postgraduate teacher training and NHS courses such as nursing and midwifery.

The information asked for is the minimum necessary for the Trustees to decide whether to award a grant, and if so, how much. The Trustees welcome any further information to support your application and will sometimes ask for more details before deciding.

Market Harborough and the Bowdens Charity is a registered charity. Its area of benefit is Market Harborough, Great Bowden and Little Bowden; meaning that it cannot make grants for projects or applicants outside this area.

The Trustees have complete discretion about the grants they give, as long as they comply with the Charity's constitution.
